It’s all good for Sutton surgeries

The group that runs Long Sutton and Sutton Bridge Medical Centre has been rated good across the board in its latest inspection as it continues to improve.

Suttons Medical Group was found to be in breach of legal requirements in a 2017 Care Quality Commission (CQC) and though rated good overall was told it required improvement in terms of leadership last year.

But its CQC inspection on July 17 saw good ratings in every category looked at for the service which looks after approximately 16,000 patients.

The inspector’s report found that the practice had improved information sharing, operating procedures had been reviewed and updated and further quality improvement audits to demonstrate improvements and the impact for patients.

“We are delighted to have received a Good rating from the CQC,” comments practice partner Dr Alistair Rudd. “It’s testament to the great care our team provide our patients with, as well as the relationship we have with our patients.

“The whole team has put a huge amount of hard work and determination into building on our previous good rating.

“We have done this through providing the highest quality safe services to our patients.”

“We are delighted the CQC has recognised the work we have done, particularly around ensuring services are well led, resulting in our rating of Good,” adds Patsi Slater, Practice Business Manager. “Our patients are at the heart of everything we do and we are continually looking at where we can improve.”

South Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group’s deputy chief nurse Rebecca Neno said: “We know how hard the practice team has worked to maintain their good rating and we are delighted for them.

“It’s great to see the Suttons Medical Group continuing to build on and improve the healthcare for its patients.”
