Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Hardwick paid a visit to Spalding on Tuesday to talk to residents and shoppers about the force.

It was part of a community engagement event by Spalding Police in Sheep Market.

Local officers were joined by the Roads Policing Unit, officers featuring in Channel 5’s Police Interceptors series (which is focusing on Lincolnshire), dogs and mascot Bobby Bear.
There was also advice available on crime prevention and wildlife and rural crime, and the chance to speak to Street Pastors.

Spalding’s Community Policing Inspector Jim Tyner said: “I was really pleased with the event. There was a steady stream of people throughout – hundreds. Some taking the opportunity to speak to Alan Hardwick or myself about policing issues, and some taking the opportunity to engage with local officers and Bobby Bear.”

Policing in South Holland continued as normal during the event – in fact a car parked in Sheep Market was seized for no insurance.
