Ibeneme stays cool for penalty winner

Holbeach United were quick off the mark against Needham Market Reserves to end a run of two home defeats in Division One North of the Eastern Counties League.

Kieran Hamilton marked his return to the team with an early goal and it was 2-0 at half-time after Pat Kacirek finished off a superb team move started in the Tigers’ own penalty area.

The Suffolk side hit back but the points were confirmed when Kelvin Ibeneme casually placed his penalty into the net after sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to complete a 3-2 win.

Tigers: Lawrence, Akyüz Ibeneme, Hoyle, Williams, Oldham, Touaiti, Coelho, Kacirek, Chouchane, Hamilton. Subs: Wilkshire, Hyde, Wurie, Bodibe, Grimwood.
