A charity cricket match raised yet more money for charity as it marked its 25th year of running.
MP Sir John Hayes organises the match, putting together a Commons XI to take on an Irregulars side from the host team.
Sir John’s team included his son William, the Lord Jackson of Peterborough, Lord Evans of Rainow and Rt Hon Graham Stuart MP, as well as former Lincoln MP Karl McCartney and two of his sons.
After a competitive contest, Moulton Irregulars scored 230 runs to run and received the trophy from Coun Jan Whitbourn, chairman of South Holland District Council.
The charity raffle alone raised more than £400 for a number of local good causes.
Sir John said: “The match was played in a wonderful spirit of game as the community came together to enjoy a splendid event.
“I am grateful to the Moulton Harrox Irregulars, all those who came to support the occasion, and the local businesses that donated raffle prizes.”
