Donington house severely damaged by fire

A house has been left severely damaged throughout following a fire in Donington overnight.

Fire crews were called to Station Street in the village at around 12.40am this morning (Wednesday).

Crews from Donington, Spalding, Kirton and Billingborough were in attendance and out the fire out using three breathing apparatus, one main hose and four hose reels.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, said that the fire caused “severe fire damage to the entire house and contents”.

They continued: “The occupants had evacuated the property but fire crews did administer oxygen to a dog.

“Fire investigations are taking place today to try and determine the cause.”
