Horsey Tales for charity

A special book created in Holbeach to raise money for a firefighters charity is on sale.
Horsey Tales has three illustrated stories about the adventures of a horse called Tarquin and his animal friends.
It has been illustrated by Holbeach firefighter Mike Clarey and created by the author known as Johnny Mackindo.
“We are trying to raise funds for the national firefighters charity as they have been hit hard this year, as have so many charities,” said the author.
The book will be on sale in the car park of Tesco in Holbeach from 9am to noon on Saturday.
“We are looking for other retailers to come on board and help sell for us,” said Johnny, who added that the book was for sale in the town’s Factory Shop.

It costs £5 and includes a colouring-in section and a quiz. Firefighters are also hoping Santa will be joining them on Saturday morning.
Copies of the A4-size book can also be bought on Facebook by searching ‘horsey tales’ and Holbeach firefighters hope it will be a popular stocking filler which will raise a good amount for the charity.
Johnny created The Night Santa Crashed in Holbeach four years ago.
