Homeless charity set for grilling

Those at a homeless charity are to buy a barbecue to use having been given vouchers courtesy of a generous couple.

The couple, who wish to remain anonymous, decided to carry out the gesture as they were celebrating a special occasion.
They asked district councillor Jan Whitbourn to hand out £10 vouchers to people who would need them, so she took them to Framework’s hostel in Spalding.
Team leader Rob Gibson said: “The service users were very happy to receive the donation and they would like you to thank the generous residents and wanted to pass on their appreciation.
“After speaking with the Spalding residents they have asked us to pool the donation and provide a BBQ for all 14 residents when the sun decides to pay us a visit.”
Coun Whitbourn said: “They are all so looking forward to having a barbecue and to tell the wonderful people we are very grateful for the donation.
“That it is nice to know there are kind people in this world.
“The young staff at Framework are very passionate about what they do.
“They work with diverse groups of individuals that were found homeless and look to provide the support these people need.”
