Holbeach’s hat-trick hero Dube leaves it late to seal win

Huntingdon Town 2
Holbeach United 3

A dramatic 94th minute winner from Lee Dube rounded off a memorable hat-trick and earned Holbeach United a vital 3-2 UCL Premier Division victory at Huntingdon Town on Wednesday night.

Dube had twice put the title-chasing Tigers ahead with goals on 27 and 48 minutes at Jubilee Park, but on each occasion hosts Huntingdon hit back to level through Ben Colmer (34) and Charley Sanders (52).

Holbeach looked to have blown the chance for all three points when Jamie Clarke blazed an 87th minute penalty over the bar, but Dube saved his blushes with a fantastic finish deep into added time.

The triumph sees John Chand and Graham Drury’s side close the gap on league leaders to just eight points, with them having three games in hand.

Tigers: Conroy, Anton, Parker, Warfield, Brown (King), Miller, Duffy, Beeson (Gibson), Nolan, Clarke, Dube.
