Holbeach’s golden girls

Four young people in Holbeach have shown they’re worth their weight in gold.

Three of Holbeach’s Brownies and one of their Rainbows have earned gold awards.

Martha Pharro, Melissa Powley and Thea Cooper all completed six of the awards and three extra challenges including remaking their Brownie promised.

A spokesman for the group said: “We are so proud of them and wish them all the best on their next adventure, as they have reached the end of their Brownie journey.

“To celebrate we had a Gold Party that the girls helped to organise and finished the term with some of the girls having an outing to Spalding Bowl.”

Meanwhile Holbeach Rainbow Seren Richardson completed six theme badges, interest badgers and skill builders to earn her gold award.

She chose to have a ‘Teddy Bear Picnic Pizza Party’ to celebrate.

“She always puts in 100 per cent at meetings,” a spokesman said. “It is a massive achievement.

“A huge well done to all the girls.”

The groups will be at the Holbeach Give It A Go event on
