Holbeach WI thanks builders the best way it knows how!

Holbeach Women’s Institute celebrated its new kitchen by inviting the Moulton Loosegate firm which completed the work to afternoon tea.

Representatives from D Brown Building Contractors enjoyed a cuppa and homemade cakes at the WI Hall in Park Road.
Grant funding from Lincolnshire County Council and Awards for All enabled the WI to have its old kitchen completely refurbished and a new energy-efficient boiler installed.
The refurbishment work was completed in four weeks and delivered on time.

Peter Pitt, senior contracts manager at D Brown Building Contractors, said: “It was a pleasure to work with the ladies of the WI.
“The refurbishment of the hall will help make it a more usable space and the whole community will benefit from the work.”

Trustee Shirley Wilson said: “We are thrilled to bits with it and we can’t wait to start using the new kitchen, which was originally added some years after the hall was built in 1938.”
And treasurer Eileen Holmes added: “Peter and the whole team at D Brown Builders kept us informed on progress through the whole process and they have been a pleasure to deal with.”
