Holbeach United’s gr-eight run continues with derby win over Poachers

HOLBEACH UNITED 2
BOSTON TOWN 1

A second-half strike from Mitch Griffiths earned Holbeach United a 2-1 win over Boston Town on Wednesday night – and extended their winning run to eight games.

Will Britton (3) gave visitors Boston an early lead, but Spencer Tinkler (9) slammed home a leveller soon after.

Jordan Keeble was forced off with a broken arm, but the Tigers didn’t let that harm their performance and Griffiths put them ahead after a mix-up in the Poachers’ defence.

Britton then saw his penalty saved by Ricky Drury as Seb Hayes’ side held on to keep their winning run going.
