The final day of the UCL Premier Division saw Holbeach United slip out of the top ten after Desborough Town won 2-1 at Wellingborough Town to leapfrog them in the table.

Ar Tarn’s victory at The Dog and Duck sees them end up tenth, with Glen Maddison’s Tigers having to settle for 11th spot.

With Spalding United long-since crowned champions and Huntingdon Town already second, the only other issues to decide were at the bottom.

Bottom spot has been S & L Corby’s for some time, but the other relegation place went to recent champions Long Buckby after Harborough Town earned a vital 3-2 victory at Sleaford Town to jump out of the drop zone at the 11th hour.

Replacing those two in the top flight will be Division One champions Oadby Town and Eynesbury Rovers, who won 3-1 at Northampton Spencer to seal second.

Elsewhere, Moulton Harrox lost a ChromaSport Peterborough League Premier Division thriller 5-3 against Netherton United at Broad Lane.

In the same division, Pinchbeck United picked up a potentially pivotal point in their bid to beat the drop as they drew 1-1 at Stilton United.

Meanwhile, Holbeach United Reserves continued their impressive bid to earn promotion from Division One as they beat South Holland rivals Long Sutton Athletic 2-0 at Carter’s Park.

In-form duo Tom Brooks and Macauley Grimwood got the goals for Omar Joof’s men, who are now just four points behind second-placed Langtoft United with two games in hand.

Plenty more football in Thursday’s Spalding and South Holland Voice.
