Holbeach Parish Council co-opts Karl

Holbeach Parish Council has welcomed its newest member, Karl Zawisza.

Following resignation of Coun Paul Gunn, a vacancy arose for Holbeach Parish Council’s Town ward, which was filled by the council after two rounds of secret ballot and then a casting vote made by chairman Paul Foyster.

Karl said of his new post: “As a new co-opted councillor for the Town Ward, Holbeach, my plan is to roll up my sleeves, work with others, develop initiatives and simply have a go.

“One of my interests is the challenges faced by our elderly residents especially issues of health, loneliness and getting about. The opportunity of being co-opted onto Holbeach Parish Council means I can use the skills gained through public and private sector business experience to help with projects and to work with agencies set up to tackle these challenges.”
