Holbeach in Bloom gardener’s windowbox commended

A Holbeach in Bloom stalwart has brought more glory to the town after being commended for his All Things Bright and Beautiful windowbox entry in a competition.
Graham Rudkin’s entry was one of 24 in the window box category at the Royal Horticultural Society Flower Show held as part of the Gardeners World Live event in Birmingham.
The box, which featured blooms in tones of yellow and purple, took Graham and wife Carol about half an hour to plant ahead of the show, which was judged on the event’s first day.
Graham said: “We went along to the presentation to the winners but I had no idea then that I had been commended – I was chuffed to bits when I found out.”
