This week’s featured nominee is the Holbeach & East Elloe Hospital Trust, which is up for the Bakkavor Local Charity Champion Award. The person who nominated them said:
“Holbeach is extremely lucky to have Holbeach Hospital, such a fabulous facility which gives its heart and soul into its patients and residents.
“By being run by the community, with a board of directors the focus remains entirely on the wellbeing of the patients and residents instead of just being about the numbers.
“The staff, managers and directors all work together to ensure great care for all those they serve.
“They receive extremely strong support from the League of Friends and the wider community too, showing true value.
“In the last few years they have seen amazing growth by being able to fund the extension offering fabulous quality rooms making people’s stay in hospital that much nicer.
“I am the daughter of a patient who last year spent a lot of time at the hospital and I will be forever grateful for all that they did.
“I truly cannot think of anything or anyone more deserving than Holbeach Hospital as Community Champion.”
