Holbeach author’s fundraising tale of Santa crashing in the town

cover-finalA Holbeach grandad has had a children’s Christmas tale made into a book.

The A5 paperback The Night Santa Crashed in Holbeach tells of how the man in red comes down in Carter’s Park after colliding with the cockerel on All Saints’ Church spire. With his sleigh badly damaged, townsfolk help ensure that presents get to the children by Christmas morning.

The author is going only by the pen name Johnny Makindo and he hopes a Facebook page under the name of the book and a song he’s written will boost sales of the 300 copies. Proceeds will support fundraising at The Anglia Motel.

The book is on sale now for £4.99 in Holbeach at Call Right in Park Road and Tonwood Hardware in Chapel Street, and at The Farm Café on the A17 at Fleet.
