Nearly 1,500 people proved that Holbeach has the appetite for an annual food festival.

Organised by Lincolnshire county councillor Nick Worth, the event at the William Stukeley Primary School, was really well received.

On the menu was a mix of food, music and culture thanks to the likes of Transported, Holbeach Town Band and Bakkavor Pizza.

Coun Worth said: “It went really well and we were delighted with the turnout.

“The stallholders were all very pleased and I’ve had lots of positive comments from visitors saying what a nice family day out it was and that they are looking to seeing it happen again next year.

“Bakkavor were meant to be doing pizza making demonstrations but the demand for the pizzas was so high, they didn’t have time for any demos!

“Hopefully we can build on what we were able to offer this year and make next year’s event an even bigger success.”
