Holbeach A kick off the season with 6-0 victory

Spalding Snooker League started the new season with several high breaks in Division One.

Bourne SC A’s Mark Gray (O105) knocked in a 59 break, despite going on to lose 128-72 to Holbeach C’s Nick Edwards (R7). There was some consolation though as Bourne won 4-2.
Pete Ransome (028) got a 43 break for Holbeach E on his way to victory over Jordan Philpott (R7) as his team beat Services C 4-2.
Jason Bates (O77) helped Bourne SC B to a 4-2 win over Pyramid C. He beat Spencer Dawkins (056)
68-46 and pocketed a 38 break along the way.
Mark Woodberry’s (O56) 30 break for Consti G wasn’t quite enough to give him the win over Boundary A’s Elliott Cox (R7) who won
86-85, helping his team to a 4-2 victory.
Just one match in, Holbeach D sit at the top of the table thanks to 5-1 home win over Services A.
Denis Hix (R7), Paul Daw (O21), Paul Boucher (O35) and Don Monk (O14) all took the frames for Holbeach D, while Mike Knight (O21) was the lone winner for Services, breaks of 22 and 21, helping him to a win over Wayne Forbelets (O21).
Clubmates clashed as Consti E played Consti H, with the E team coming out on top.
The H team got off to a good start, winning the first two frames courtesy of Seb Grimston (028) and Doug Garfoot (O28) but George Neary-Philips (021), Jack Chilvers (O7) and James Kingston (O28) all hit back to take the match 4-2.
Holbeach teams dominate the top of Division Two.
The A team got their campaign off to a great start with a 6-0 win over Gosberton D.
Wayne Dent (O49) got a 36 break on his way to victory over Paul Geniorskyj (O14), while other wins came from Derek Beba (scr), Sean Swinburn (O49), Steve Dent (scr) and Stuart Atkin (O42).
Holbeach B are sitting in second place after beating Gosberton A 5-1.
Adi Liquorish (R14) (twice), Pete Mullane (O28) and Barry Haynes (O7) were the winners for Holbeach, while Carl Ward got the single point for Gosberton.
Donington A were 4-2 winners at home over Pyramid D.
Pyramid started well with Reegan Cooke-Holmes (O14) and Pete Jackson (R14) winning their frames.
Donington hit back with Nigel Brasier (O21) and John George (scr) beating James Sharpe (O42) and Josh Agger (O14) respectively.
Tony Scully (O35) took the decider against Peter Sharpe-Grose (R7), knocking in breaks of 31 and 22 along the way.
Whittlesey C had a 4-2 win over Pyramid B.
Winners for Whittlesey were Garry Thewliss (scr), Neil Burton (O14) and Steve Jennings (O21).
Richard Clark (O7) and Dean Cole (O14) got the frames for Pyramid.
Down in Division Three a 5-1 win for Consti J has put them at the top of the table after week one.
They beat Whittlesey B thanks to Les Andrew (scr), John Bellerby (R7), Trevor Braybrook (R14) and Stewart Davies (O14).
Pawel Skutela (R7) got the point for Whittlesey, beating Nev Vickers (scr) 49-17.
Consti C got the better of clubmates Consti D with a 4-2 win.
Victorious were Pat Bowman (R28), Mick Peet (R28) and Kevin Sweeney (R7), who won the deciding frame against Tom Digby (R7).
Consti A were away to Donington D and returned with a 4-2 win, thanks to Sam Roberts (R21), Martyn Johnson (R21) and Steve Hall (scr).
