Hoggard in a confident mood as he eyes more success at Brands Hatch

Weston Hills BRDC British F3 Championship racer Johnathan Hoggard is relishing a return to the Brands Hatch circuit this weekend.

The Fortec Motorsport racer has had excellent results in the past at the Grand Prix circuit – which will be used this weekend – where he secured a pole position, a win and two podiums in F4 last season.

That experience, combined with a productive test day held just after he returned from the previous round at Spa-Francorchamps, has put

Hoggard in a confident mood as the championship battle reaches its final stretch.

With nine races over three rounds still to contest, the Spalding racer is positive he can take on Brands Hatch’s fast sweeping bends and narrow layout to cut down the points deficit to leader Clement Novalak.

Hoggard said: “Previous races here have gone well. I believe that the combination of Fortec’s great knowledge of setup and my experience of the Grand Prix layout, can hopefully lead to a good weekend. I’m definitely looking forward to it.”

The action-packed weekend begins with testing on Friday before the competition gets underway in earnest on Saturday.

The day kicks off with free practice before qualifying at 1.20pm and the first race begins at 4.10pm.

Races two (10.55am) and three (3.50pm) are on Sunday.
