Help for Holbeach hospital thanks to bingo

A full house helped raise over £900 for charity at a specially arranged bingo afternoon.

Trevor and Teresa Gibbons put the event on at the Holbeach Women’s Institute Hall to raise money for the Holbeach and East Elloe Hospital on Saturday March 10.

Thanks to the fantastic prize donations and raffle, a brilliant £928.30 was raised for the hospital.

Rebecca Atkinson, the secretary of the Holbeach and East Elloe Hospital Trust, said: “It was a hugely successful event and a fun afternoon was had by all involved.

“Funds raised will be of great benefit to Holbeach Hospital residents and the community we serve and enable us to continue to provide the very best care and environment for the people who stay with us.

“We would like to say a massive thank you and well done to both Trevor and Teresa Gibbons and all that were involved and attended the bingo night.”

Teresa held a raffle at Boots in Holbeach where she works. She said: “They helped look after my dad and I just wanted to give something back.”
