Help decide how to spend Holbeach money

The chance to decide how to spend the recent cash boost given to Holbeach comes next Thursday night at the next Civic Society meeting.

Holbeach Civic Society’s next meeting on Thursday, November 28 will be focussing on South Holland District Council’s recent announcement of town centre improvement funding, which is aligned to their successful expression of interest to the government for High Street funding.

Coun Nick Worth will be outlining the details of the expression of interest for the High Street Fund but will be looking to members of the Civic Society and any members of the public who would like to attend, to participate in an interactive workshop to get your ideas on what would make a real difference to Holbeach High Street.

Coun Worth said: “This, along with further consultation events, will establish where the district council can make the best possible use of funding to ensure at the end of the project we all have a town we can be proud of and that has long term vitality and sustainability.

“We will be looking forward to receiving some innovative ideas on the night!”

The meeting takes place at the Reading Room on Church Street and starts at 7.30pm.

Coun Worth added: “Pre-Christmas wine and nibbles will be available to help the thought process.”
