Helen shapes up for charity

A fitness instructor is to hold a two-hour charity exercise session helping animals in Ukraine.

Helen Lea, who lives in Whaplode Drove, is looking to raise money for Animals of Ukraine at the event at the WI Hall on Park Road in Holbeach from 2pm on Saturday, May 14.

She says she’s already raised over £11,000 for a number of charities over the years including the likes of the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, Macmillan and Alzheimer’s UK.

Helen, who will also be dancing in the street as part of Holbeach’s Jubilee celebrations on June 4, said of the charity exercise session: “I’m doing it for Animals of Ukraine as myself and a lot of my participants are real animal lovers and are all really saddened by the events there.

“The charity event involves two hours of exercising with a mixture of clubbercise and zumba, then there is a raffle, prize stalls and refreshments all to raise money too.”
