Helen set for charity fitness event

A Whaplode Drove fitness instructor is putting on a charity fitness event after being inspired by her son’s efforts.

Helen Lea is doing a hour and a half ‘clubercise’ and party zumba session for Papyrus, a charity that aims to prevent suicide, particularly in young people.
Her son Elliott and his friends Connor Lewis, Josh Clarke and Jamie Bingham raised over £2,500 earlier this year by taking on the Three Peaks Challenge.
And after being inspired by him, and learning about the charity, Helen has decided to do her own fundraising event.
Anyone can join her for the special fitness class to last around an hour and 45 minutes which take place at 2pm on September 16 at Holbeach Community Centre on Fishpond Lane.
“It’s a fantastic charity and I thought it would be a good thing to do.
“We’re doing a raffle and tombola as well as teas and cakes.
“Anybody is welcome to come down.”
Those wishing to take part are being asked to contact Helen beforehand as she’s creating personalised T-shirts for the event.
Entry is £15 with all profits going to Papyrus.
You can contact Helen on 07595 597023.
