Pinchbeck United’s hectic spell of Peterborough League Premier Division games continues on Saturday with a home match against Leverington Sports (2pm).
Ian Dunn’s side go into the match at Knight Street on the back of a 3-0 midweek away win at Deeping Rangers Reserves on Wednesday night.
Despite missing top goalscorer Ollie Maltby and last Saturday’s match-winner Liam Ogden, the Knights were comfortable winners at Outgang Road.
A brace from Fabio Ramos and a rare right-footed strike from Luke Gardner settled the contest as Pinchbeck embarked on a run of six games in 13 days.
Dunn said: “We were 2-0 up by half-time and controlled the game really.
“We gave up some possession in the second half, but managed the game well.
“We saved some of our players’ legs and Ben Martin in goal had nothing of note to deal with.
“You can’t really complain when you keep a clean sheet away from home and score three goals.”
The victory keeps Pinchbeck within four points of table-topping Peterborough Sports Reserves.
They defeated AFC Stanground Sports 6-0 on Wednesday night and host Deeping Rangers Reserves this weekend.
