Harriers spread wings after Crowland call-off

Wet weather left the Snowden Field Parkrun course at Crowland in an unfit condition for the weekly 5K event.

However, that did not stop members of Halmer Harriers getting in their regular Saturday morning run, participating in five races elsewhere.
After finishing second at Crowland a week earlier, Adam Caress came home third of 129 entrants in Wisbech in a time of 20mins 3secs. Club mate Richard Williams was 13th, 22:37, with Rebecca Pearce 62nd, 29:45, and Janet Strickland 64th, 30:05.
In Boston, Katherine Baxter finished 103rd, 37:00, and Jayne Pell was 111th, 39:51. Daisy Jowers was in London to take on the Brockwell, Herne Hill Parkrun and came in 108th of 389 in 23:44, while Debs Norman clocked 53:34 in Bexley.
Nearer to home, Kathryn Chapman was among almost 500 runners at Ferry Meadows in Peterborough and finished in 46:29.
