Hardy on song for final fish

Spalding Fishing Club fished the last of its successful series of winter matches on the River Glen at West Pinchbeck.
The river was beginning to run clear and while conditions were a little harder, the weights were still very consistent.
Leading the way with a chop worm approach on peg 16 was Gary Hardy with 7lb 4oz of perch.
In second place with two big perch topped up with small fish in his 6lb 8oz was Ian Benton.
Third placed Colin Fisher had a 3lb perch to go with his net of small roach, rudd and bleak.
Fourth place was the consistent Alan Thomas whose 5lb 3oz was the best of the small fish catches.
The Winter matches will be made into a series next season with all members welcome to participate.
