Halmer Harrier Diane sees off the gruelling Brathay 10 in 10

The amazing Diane Morris has completed the daunting Brathay 10 in 10 event.

Morris, who is a member of Spalding-based Halmer Harriers, ran the Windermere Marathon course every day for ten consecutive days.

Incredibly, her fastest two times came in the final two marathons around England’s largest lake, with the clockings of 4.46hrs and 4.48hrs on days nine and ten being her strongest efforts.

Morris had extra motivation on her final day, given that her Halmer Harriers team-mates – themselves taking part in the Windermere Marathon – joined her on the track.

Diane Morris’ Brathay 10 in 10 results: Day 1 5.27hrs; Day 2 05.15hrs; Day 3 5.19hrs; Day 4 5.02hrs; Day 5 5.07hrs; Day 6 5.16hrs; Day 7 5.28hrs; Day 8 5.06hrs; Day 9 4.46hrs; Day 10 4.48hrs.

Eye 10k results: Mark Goodale 45.16mins; Amelia Siddal 47.18mins.
