Spalding Gymnastic Club’s popular summer sessions went down a storm with youngsters once again.

The morning sessions at Spalding’s Cradge Bank base were mainly for non-gymnasts – and on several occasions numbers smashed through the 50 mark.

Amazingly, some of the participants came from as far as Holland to take part.

Afternoon sessions, meanwhile, were mainly attended by gymnasts already enrolled at the club. The camp gave them the chance to try and perfect new moves ready for a very busy competition period between now and Christmas.

All that attended enjoyed the games on offer, while for some it served as the ideal introduction to gymnastic after the success of the recent Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Spalding’s head coach Alec Harding and his team of dedicated coaches worked extremely hard and were very happy with the turnout. They look forward to more of the same next year.
