A group of Guides had the wind in their sails last week after being invited on to the water by Welland Yacht Club.
A total of 13 guides from the 1st Pinchbeck (St Mary) group took part in the taster session when the Spalding based club was only too happy to pass on expertise.
A spokesman for the club said: “The Guides all enjoyed the evening and were able to experience something they may never get the chance to try again.”
- Meanwhile Freya Andrew (13) has become the first in her unit to be awarded the Guide’s Bronze award.
As part of the award Freya completed her confectionery and mixology, (non alcoholic drinks!), badges and did two skills builders covering first aid and communication.
