Goude and Ciuffini take top Tydd St Giles Golf Club titles

The coveted Sewell Salver and Ciuffini Shield competitions were contested at Tydd St Giles Golf Club last week.

Some 30 golfers were involved in the 36-hole competitions to find the best scratch and best handicap golfer at the club.

The winner of the Sewell Salver, given for best scratch, over two rounds was Kevin Goude with 71+71=142. In second place was Harry Turner with 80+72=152, while Josh Baines (73+83=156) was just behind in third.

Winner of the Ciuffini Shield, given for best handicap rounds, was Gino Ciuffini with a score of net 68+68=136 off a 15 handicap. Second place went to Turner with a score of net 74+96=140 off a six handicap, while third spot was claimed by Bradley Martin (net 73+68=141 off 17 handicap) on countback.
