Good neighbours to mark first year of scheme

The Spalding Good Neighbour Scheme is set to mark a special anniversary.

After successfully recruiting a team of volunteers working alongside the committee, the organisation has supported a number of residents.

The scheme offers practical help such as shopping trips, befriending services, letter writing and a range of other ways to help.

The annual meeting will be held at Tonic Health, Westlode Street, Spalding on Friday, May 13 from 1.30pm.

The meeting will include speakers from both YMCA Lincolnshire and the county’s Healthwatch organisation.

Light refreshments will be available and the event is expected to end around 3pm.

“This is a great opportunity to find out more about how the Good Neighbour Scheme might be able to help you, or how you can be involved,” said a spokesman for the scheme.
