Golden girls grab top honours

Two sisters have picked up the top awards they can in the Girl Scouting movement.

Nine-year-old Amber Coleman and her six-year-old sister Willow were awarded it for 1st Pinchbeck Brownies and Rainbows respectively.

Willow is the first Rainbow from Pinchbeck to achieve gold status.

The group’s leader Rachel Paul, said: “This is a huge achievement and for Willow to also have completed all the interest badges is nothing short of amazing.

“I’m so proud of all the effort Willow has put in to achieve her awards and she will miss having her in the unit though I hope she thoroughly enjoys Brownies and continuing her Girlguiding journey.”

Her sister Amber has completed all 36 badges with the Brownies and three gold challenges and is also the first from her group to earn the award.

Her leader and mum Amy Coleman, said: “I’m so proud of the work and commitment Amber has put in to achieve all of her badges and awards and it was an honour to award her with both certificates and badges on awards night.

“Seeing her face light up, knowing what she had achieved is one of the reasons I’m a leader.

“Amber has one term left at Brownies before she moves to Guides and is already thinking about what her first Guides badge will be.”
