Go wild for a day of fun in the jungle

webjungle

A jungle-themed day of workshops and activities for the whole family to enjoy is being hosted by Spalding’s South Holland Centre.

The venue is offering a full day of drama, dance, music, craft and cookery workshops aimed at primary school aged children and their accompanying adults to enjoy.

All based around the theme of the jungle, there will be an opportunity to try your hand at a range of skills, have a glimpse backstage behind the scenes and enjoy live music from local talent over a lunchtime break.

The day will consist of four contrasting workshops ending with a screening of the classic Disney film The Jungle Book (U) at 4pm.

The family day includes four jungle themed workshops:

  • A drama and music workshop run by Act II Theatre Company in conjunction with South Holland Centre technicians demonstrating stage lighting and sound.
  • A dance-based workshop run by Polka Dot Academy.
  • Craft activities with local expert Janet Strickland
  • Cupcake decorating with staff from the in-house catering team, Caterwell East Anglia.

There will be live acoustic lunchtime entertainment provided by talented young people from the Centre’s Youth Takeover group.

This is a full day of activities: your ticket includes all four workshops and the 4pm screening of Disney’s The Jungle Book.

Tickets for the film only may be purchased for £3 per person.
