Get your dog microchipped in Spalding for £6

Dogs can be microchipped for £6 at a special event in Spalding next week.

South Holland District Council dog warden Rachel Thompson is holding a microchipping session at Rooke’s Pet Products in High Street on Thursday, November 19 from 9.30am to noon.

A council spokesman said: “Having your dog microchipped is one of the best ways to increase its chances of getting home should it ever become lost.”

The session will also include free health checks and nail clipping from a qualified veterinary nurse.

Owners are asked to bring healthy non-aggressive dogs. There is no need to book places, simply turn up on the day.
