Get your crew down to the jam

Skaters of all ages are invited to bring their best tricks to Spalding at the weekend.

A skate jam is being held at the town’s skate park from noon to 4pm.
Organised by the independent members of South Holland District Council, the event will also welcome BMX and scooters to the Holbeach Road venue.
There will be demonstrations as well as music and competitions to take part in.
Rob Gibson, leader of the Independents, said he hoped the event would be popular and was looking forward to the weekend.
Alongside the council, manufacturers including Chilli and Enuff will be part of the event, along with Camp Rubicon – which organises trips for skaters.
“We have organised this using our councillor budget so everything is free for those who attend,” said Coun Gibson.
He said similar events had been organised in the past by the district council but the independent group decided to take it on this year.
The Skate Jam starts at noon and everyone is welcome to attend – to participate or spectate.
