Gateway Club makes its move

Spalding Gateway Club members have been getting their boogie on.

The group for adults with learning disabilities puts on a host of events and entertainment for attendees.
At its most recent session, Movement to Music representatives came down.
A spokesman for the Gateway Club said: “Bekki from Movement to Music came down and gave them the time of their lives with movement and dancing for those sitting down, those who can stand up and even those in wheelchairs.”
The Spalding Gateway club continues to flourish with a regular membership of over 20 people.
They are involved in a range of activities including jigsaws and board games, bingo, new age kurling and boccia. Movement to Music will be back in September.
The Gateway Club meets at Broad St Methodist Church Hall 7pm to 9pm on Fridays.
A small admission fee is payable and refreshments can be bought.
The group is also introducing a monthly prize draw where the members can win half of the takings and is also looking forward to a series of Sound Lincs music workshops and a sports day provided by the Rotary Club.
