Gamer in for the long haul as he faces his Destiny

Today (September 6) a Spalding man is bravely risking square eyes and sleep deprivation during a sponsored 24-hour computer games marathon, which includes a spell on the brand new cooperative action game Destiny 2, released today.

Nick Perkins (31) is taking part in the 24-hour gaming session with friends around the country for Macmillan Cancer Support, having had friends and family suffer with the disease.

Nick completed a sponsored 24-hour session in 2016 and raised £150 – a high score he’s looking to beat this year.

Nick’s progress will be streamed live on the video game streaming service Twitch here and visitors can suggest games to play.
