GALLERY – Walking in a Winter Wonderland

The magic of the season was brought to life for visitors to an illuminated winter wonderland.

The elves at Springfields Festival Gardens were kept busy installing an array of colourful lights as part of the centre’s Christmas celebrations.

Visitors were able to enjoy new zones for this year, including the Moon and Stars, an Elf Hideout, Christmas Hill and Woodland Surprise.

The sell-out event also raised money for the Royal British Legion which is the centre’s adopted charity of the year.

First opened in 1966 and redeveloped in 2004 by the Springfields Horticultural Society, the Festival Gardens include celebrity-designed gardeners including those by Charlie Dimmock and Kim Wilde.
