GALLERY – Lantern fun lights up Christmas in Holbeach

This year’s St Nicholas Fayre has been hailed a great success.

Organised by Jane Francis, on behalf of the Holbeach Regeneration Community Interest Company, the event took place on Friday night and Saturday, in and around All Saints’ Church in Holbeach.

The highlight was the children’s lantern parade which saw scores of families walk around the church with handmade lanterns.

Jane said: “Friday night was a huge success – there were hundreds of people there. It was lovely and very atmospheric.

“Saturday was quieter, probably down to the cold weather, but there was a steady stream of people coming in to browse the stalls.”

The event was sponsored by South Holland District Council, Ashwood Homes and Taylors Bulbs.
