GALLERY – Having a go at fun and games

With everything from gymnastics to hockey – there was good reason to Give it A Go in South Holland at the weekend.

Organised by South Holland District Council’s communities team, the event was held at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field in Spalding where more than 20 clubs took part.
All the activities were free and visitors made the most of them.
South Holland District Council’s member for communities Tracey Carter said: “Sunday’s event was very well attended with nearly 800 visitors and our community team received a lot of positive feedback.”
Council leader Andrew Woolf, who organised a fun tug-of-war won by Halmer Harriers, said the event had been great fun and he thanked everyone who took part.
