Bakkavor once again hosted a fantastic fun weekend at Springfields.
Despite the odd shower and thunderbolt on Saturday, record numbers visited the event on both days.
Bakkavor organises the daytime fun weekend in Spalding, by way of a big thank you to all its colleagues in the UK.
The company gives out free entry wristbands to those who want to attend with their families and this year colleagues came en masse, not only from its sites in
Lincolnshire but also from London, Leicester and Newark.
Attractions across the two days featured a mix of modern and traditional fairground rides from Roger Tuby, Disney shows and charity stands.
As well as the daytime activities, Bakkavor hosted its Party in the Park music spectacular for the general public on the Saturday evening with music from The Score as well as Rihanna, U2 and Abba tribute acts.
During the evening, Bakkavor paid tribute to two of its Spalding colleagues, Pat Baxter and Andy Green, both of whom have recently passed away.
The evening ended with a fantastic firework display.
Bakkavor will be donating money raised from the weekend to its group charity, FareShare, a UK charity fighting hunger and food waste, as well as to other charities that attended.
Mike Edwards, Chief Operating Officer UK, commented: “It was great to see so many of our colleagues and their families, together with members of the public enjoying our Bakkavor Fun Weekend.
“I would like to thank everyone who volunteered their time as well as all the people who joined us to make this a very special weekend.”
