GALLERY – Comic Relief fun

Red noses, red clothes and general hilarity was very much the order of the day when South Holland schools took part in this year’s Comic Relief events.

Pupils at Wygate and Gosberton academies were completely in the red with fancy dress and colour coordination all round.

The fancy dress theme was continued at Ayscoughfee School in Spalding which was also raising money with crazy hair and crazy socks.

And pupils at The Garth School weren’t being outdone as they also wore red and sold cakes to help boost funds.

Comic Relief raised more than £42million on the night when the BBC broadcast a telethon on Friday, March 18.

Money raised from the event, held every other year, has helped support more than 11 million people around the world.

Of those, more than 750,000 in the UK experiencing poverty have been able to access help and more than 29,000 experiencing domestic abuse have been helped.
