GALLERY: A roaring good time for health at Spalding hospital ball

Supporters of the Johnson Community Hospital stepped back almost a century to raise cash at the weekend.

The annual ball had a Roaring Twenties theme and gangsters featured heavily.

Sally Brown, a sister in the outpatients department and chairman of the Johnson Community Hospital Ball Committee, said: “Thank-you to everyone who attended to make this year’s event such a fantastic night.

“We were so impressed with the effort everyone made, particularly those who embraced our theme. We don’t yet have a final fundraising total, but at this stage we estimate our guests and sponsors have helped us to raise approximately £8,000 on the night for Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust’s Charitable Funds and the Johnson Community Hospital League of Friends, which includes match funding from Santander for the second year running.

“Over the last nine years I cannot express how much we have enjoyed supporting these two wonderful charities to collect almost £60,000 in support of our services, patients, visitors and staff at Johnson Community Hospital.”
