‘Gallant knight’ Steve in shave fundraiser

A “gallant knight” known for donning pink tights for a village pantomime has again come to the aid of parishioners.

Moulton parish councillor Steve Walker subjected himself to a “close shave” and the removal of his beard to help raise funds to buy some synthetic grass to cover a well-used area of land at John Harrox Primary School.

Fellow parish councillor Peter Breach said: “We wish to thank Steve for his bravery in agreeing to submit himself to this traumatic experience and Mandy Church of Well Groomed Barbering, Holbeach for making it a completely painless experience.

“Thanks to some very generous donors, more than £500 was raised.”
