Fyson’s twin strike scares leaders

Josh Fyson scored twice and Frazer Watt was also on target in Long Sutton’s 5-3 defeat at unbeaten leaders Wisbech Town in Division Two North West of the East Men’s League on Friday.
The second team had a 5-0 walkover because opponents Cambridge City 5th were unable to raise a side in Division Three North West.
Annabelle Giles made her debut for Long Sutton in their 2-0 defeat at home to early East Women’s League Division Two North West front-runners St Ives. Despite a much-improved performance, they remain bottom of the table after four straight defeats.
Like their male counterparts, Sutton 2nd enjoyed a 5-0 win after scheduled opponents Newmarket 3rd, who scratched from their Division Five North West encounter to hand them their first points of the campaign.
