Fundraising garden party at Ayscoughfee Gardens in Spalding for cancer victim

A young mum who lost her aunt to cancer last year at the age of 50 has organised a charity garden party in Spalding this weekend.

Tina Bryan died last October and Saturday’s event at Ayscoughfee Gardens is the latest fundraiser for Cancer Research UK by niece Liz Batterham (33).

Liz, who has raised more than £3,000 this year, said: “I may not be able to do much alone but if what I do can raise enough to help one person and stop their family going through what our family went through then it’s not in vain.”

The event between noon and 4pm and will have The Influence performing live throughout.
There will be a mascot visits from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Garfield, plus a bouncy castle, face painting, raffle, tombola, bric-a-brac, games, stalls and a dance performance from Diamondz DG.
