Fun for all at Flinders Party in the Park

Flinders party in the park smallFingers crossed for nice weather this weekend as Flinders Founders hosts its annual Party in the Park.

The event takes place at Abbott’s Field in Donington from 1pm to 11pm and promises fun for all.

There will be ten hours of live music with something for all tastes from folk and jazz to pop, rock and blues.

Bands taking to the stage include Liza Marie, Ozzey Moysey, Lotus Evoke, Atlantic Avenue, Gypsy Heart, Scapa Flow, Glass Onion, the Lloyd Watson Band and the AlmaBoobies.

They will be supported by up and coming musicians from the Thomas Cowley High School.

As if that wasn’t enough there’ll be loads of family entertainment including fairground rides, bouncy castles, circus skills workshop, zorbing balls, face painting, nail art, climbing wall, competitions and games.

There will be a memorial flight flypast and a raffle with great prizes including a BMX bike, scooters and skateboards.

Tickets are £4 for adults and £2 for under 18s in advance or £5 and £3 respectively on the gate.

Tickets are available from the Thomas Cowley High School reception or you can call 07748 474717.

The event is raising money for Flinders Founders, working in partnership with LIVES.
