Two ladies have set up a social group in Spalding for people who might like some company.
Abigail Ferrell and Claire Perry have created the Spalding Friends Group.
A Facebook page has been set up and the pair put on events where those on the group can attend.
They’ve already been out for a meal at The Kitchen in Spalding and enjoyed a bingo night at The Water’s Edge in the town too while a ‘walk and talk’ event also proved popular.
Abigail, who in a previous job has worked with community groups, said: “We are planning two sessions a month for residents of South Holland to come and make connections.
“We set it up as we were new to the area.”
Future events will be advertised via the Facebook page of the same name.
