The Friends of Johnson Community Hospital hold their annual summer fayre at the hospital on Saturday.
The programme of entertainment provides the chance to relax and enjoy light refreshments (indoors if wet) while enjoying music and dance.
This year, the Slap Dash Dancers will perform a programme of Appalachian dances and the Beauvale Ensemble will play a variety of music with wind instruments and songs.
There will also be games, a raffle, plants for sale and many stalls including crafts and cakes.
The fayre runs from 2pm-4pm.
The league continues to support all departments of the hospital giving priority to making every patient’s visit to the hospital a little more comfortable.
During the last financial year the friends purchased equipment for both the Welland Ward and Outpatients’ Department to the value of £5,000.
There are now plans in place to expand the newly formed cataract department with extra clinics to meet public demand.
As well as buying equipment, the friends continue to provide gifts at Christmas and Mothering Sunday and offer a weekly visit by the “Trolley Dollies” selling confectionery and toiletries.
