French market will bring flavour of the continent to Bourne

A specialist French market will visit Bourne next week to give South Kesteven a flavour of the continent.

A group of 14 traders will promote and sell French food, fashion and goods in Bourne outside the Corn Exchange in the market’s usual location, hosted by SKDC.
Vintage music and family entertainers will welcome shoppers from 8am to 2pm.
SKDC’s portfolio holder for Arts, Leisure and Culture Cllr Linda Wootten said:
“Whatever the weather head to the market in Bourne on October 16 and sample a flavour of France.
“The aim is to give shoppers something different with retailers selling French style goods and food that we hope will attract increased visitors from in and around the district.
“This is with the specific aim of giving Bourne residents a different style offering on a non market day. We’ll closely monitor reaction to the event to gauge if there is interest in similar offerings at our markets going forward.”
The event will be replicated a day later at Grantham’s market on Saturday October 17.
